This is where I write about writing.
I'll probably mention Ghost Girls (due March 2016, Echo Publishing) a lot.
But as well as writing about Ghost Girls, and the novel-writing and production process, you'll also find me sharing ideas and experiences pertinent to writers and readers across different platforms.
Plus recipes for mapo tofu.
Me: I've worked as a professional writer/editor for 13 years, mostly full-time.
In the last four years, coinciding with family life, I've worked on freelance and contract jobs.
My writing experience is broad and includes: feature, profile and news writing; journal editing; educational documentary writing; commercial television drama screenwriting and script editing; textbook authoring; online interactive content; short stories and a novel.
In short, I'm a career writer, meaning I'm a person who's made a living from writing over my working years until now.
I've never desired a 'career-tie' and very little of my writing experience is glamorous.
What I say to you, if you are an aspiring-writer or interested reader, is this: the ramblings here are the authentic posts of a working writer and that is all.
Also, there's China: the land, language, literature, food and tea. I'm big into all of these, too.
Thanks for reading.
Cath.
